Next Stop - Super Bowl XLIV - Miami Florida 2010
It's only been a few hours since the big game, and the questions on everyone's mind? Where's the Super Bowl next year? The location of Super Bowl XLIV (that's 44) will be Dolphin Stadium in Miami Florida on February 7th 2010.
This marks the 10th time a Super Bowl will have played in the Miami area: 5 times the game has been held at Dolphin Stadium; the other 5 were played at the Orange Bowl. Miami is also one of the cities that has been asked to host the Super Bowl in 2013.
The game will be televised on CBS, which will celebrate coverage of its 50th NFL season (1956–93; 1998–present), who also covered the last Super Bowl held in Miami(XLI). Last night's game was covered by NBC. This will be the first Super Bowl telecast solely digitally after the U.S. digital transition this year.
For the first time since South Florida began holding Super Bowls in 1968, the headquarters hotel and media center will be based in Broward County instead of in Miami-Dade. Previously the Miami Beach Convention Center was used as the media center, but the complex is booked. Instead, the media center will be at the Broward County Convention Center.
