History Of The Super Bowl In Florida

More than 1/3 of all Super Bowls have been played in the Sunshine State. The Super Bowl has been played more times in Florida than any other state. Including Super Bowl XLIV 2010 in Miami, 15 games have been played in Florida. Other states that have hosted the Super Bowl are California (13), Louisiana (7), Texas (2), Georgia (2), Arizona (2), Michigan (2), and Minnesota (1).

Super Bowl XLIV is the 10th Super Bowl in Miami. The other Florida Super Bowls were played in Tampa(4 games) and Jacksonville (1 game).

NFL Experience Tickets On Sale

Tickets for the NFL Experience went on sale Wednesday and opens on Jan. 24th at Raymond James Stadium, site of Super Bowl XLIII on Feb. 1st 2009. Also, NFLX After Dark opens the festival for adults only from 9 p.m. to midnight Jan. 29. The NFL Experience has been around for 18 years and will span 850,000 square feet featuring over 50 interactive games and attractions. Proceeds will be donated to two NFL Youth Education Towns of Tampa Bay. Attractions: areas where fans can pass, punt, kick and catch footballs; a kids zone with games for ages 3 to 10; autograph sessions with current and former NFL players; a Donruss Super Bowl card show; a Pro Football Hall of Fame Throwbacks exhibit; event sponsored by Under Armour that simulates NFL Combine testing. Tickets may be purchased at Superbowl.com or by calling 1-866-849-4635. NFL Experience Schedule Jan. 24: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Jan. 25: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 26-27: Closed. Jan. 28: Open only to selected children. Jan. 29: 3 to 9 p.m.; also, NFLX After Dark, 9 p.m. to midnight. Jan. 30: 3 to 10 p.m. Jan. 31: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Feb. 1: 11 a.m. to kickoff; Super Bowl ticket-holders only.
