History Of The Super Bowl In Florida

More than 1/3 of all Super Bowls have been played in the Sunshine State. The Super Bowl has been played more times in Florida than any other state. Including Super Bowl XLIV 2010 in Miami, 15 games have been played in Florida. Other states that have hosted the Super Bowl are California (13), Louisiana (7), Texas (2), Georgia (2), Arizona (2), Michigan (2), and Minnesota (1).

Super Bowl XLIV is the 10th Super Bowl in Miami. The other Florida Super Bowls were played in Tampa(4 games) and Jacksonville (1 game).

Parking
Parking areas open at 11 am on Sunday. Purchase parking permit. No RV parking will be permitted.
Tailgating
Tailgating will not be allowed in any parking areas for Super Bowl XLIV.
Stadium Drop off and Pick up During Super Bowl there are no bus, limousine, sedan or shuttle drop-off or pick-up areas at Sun Life Stadium. Taxis can drop-off and pick-up passengers near the Fan Plaza at Gate 4.
Spectator Train & Shuttle Service Roundtrip service is available on Tri-Rail, with a connecting shuttle to and from Sun Life Stadium on Pro Bowl and Super Bowl Sunday.
Prohibited Items In Stadium
Animals (Except for certified animals assisting disabled guests.), Alcoholic beverages ,Bags purses or camera cases exceeding 14' x 14' x 8' in size , Bottles, Cans, Thermoses, Coolers, Hard Containers, Food, Umbrellas, Poles, Brooms, Strollers (Permitted in Suites only. Strollers must enter Gates C, G or E), Cameras with lenses exceeding 8", Noise makers, laser pointers,Weapons of any kind (Firearms, Knives, Pocket Knives) , any item deemed dangerous or inappropriate.
